Grand Canyon here we come!

On the way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Passing through Cortez, Colorado we just couldn't pass up the very cute coffee shop made out of an old airstream trailer.

The landscape once again changes as we leave behind red rocks and climb in altitude to about 7000 feet. (10 times that of Nashville) Yes, the altitude is playing havoc on my respiratory system but the lack of humidity is divine. The temps are all around the mid 70's. Sorry you guys sweatin' it out in the deep South. Can't say that I'm feeling your pain right now :)

What can I say about the Canyon- it is very big and very deep and very scary. It is untouchable. Unlike Monument Valley where you feel enveloped by all you see, the Grand Canyon is definitely hands off- enjoy from a distance- a great and vast distance. Once again you see evidence of how God's natural processes have sculpted a work of overwhelming beauty.
